I work with colleagues from R&D, as well as on the commercial and operations side, right across Benchmark. This means people involved in the development of new products, the production of these products, right through to sales and marketing.
Olivier Decamp works as the Product Manager (Farm & Feedmill) for Benchmark Advanced Nutrition in Thailand.
1. How long have you been with Benchmark?
2. What does a typical day look like?
Typical days do not really exist for me. There are typical days in the office, when I am in Thailand, and days on the road. A day in the office starts with a coffee in the bar, with colleagues. Days on the road can be (1) visits of customers/farms; (2) conferences/tradeshows; (3) meetings with colleagues in Asia, Europe or Americas; (4) stay at one of our factories, etc.
3. Where are you based?
I am based in Bangkok, Thailand.
4. Who do you work with?
This is one of the parts that I love about my job. I work with colleagues from R&D, commercial and Operation, and across Benchmark. This means people involved in the development of new products/solutions, the production and delivery of these products, and then the sale/marketing.
5. Best bit about your job?
Being in contact with the real world (shrimp and fish farmers all around the world), while working with scientists to develop new products.
6. Biggest challenge?
To fit everything in to one day.
7. What has been your most memorable event while working at Benchmark?
I joined Benchmark Advanced Nutrition’s R&D department and was part of the team that developed many products for shrimp farmers. The most memorable moment was to see “my products” being used and appreciated by farmers.
8. Sum up your job in three words
Passion, cross-cultural, fun
