Job Purpose
To manage candidates studying towards the ESVPS Nursing Certificate (NCert) along with multiple choice and ‘spot test’ question processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome presentation to delegates on commencement of course
  • Answering queries from candidates within agreed timescales
  • Advising potential candidates on eligibility for awards
  • Implementing assessment methods
  • Preparing examination papers and invigilation of examinations
  • Managing annual schedule (for nursing cohorts assessed in English)
  • Maintaining strong relationships with examiners; inviting examiners to collaborate on certification and proposed NCert examination papers
  • Collaborate with training providers and partners to provide enhanced candidate support
  • Managing candidate appeals and complaints
  • Maintaining pools of multiple-choice questions, in collaboration with training providers, examiners and Harper Adams University
  • Uploading approved questions to the ESVPS examination software platform
  • Reviewing NCert assessment information, policies, procedures and other documentation for accuracy and updating where necessary
  • Collating candidate and examiner feedback and providing reports to Director, Assessment Manager and Academic Board; analysing areas of concern and making suggestions for improvement

Qualifications and experience

  • Experience in customer service
  • Academic qualification in veterinary sciences or veterinary nursing desirable but not essential
  • Academic qualification or experience in assessment or education desirable but not essential
