Job Purpose:

CleanTreat® is Benchmark Animal Health’s unique water purification system which removes medicinal compounds from the treatment water used to combat disease threats in aquaculture. This role will coordinate and oversee the provision of the CleanTreat® service, help manage the operational team in the field and support the technical development of the next generation of CleanTreat® systems. This role is split between operational support of the CleanTreat® field-based service and driving the technical development of the CleanTreat® system and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development of the CleanTreat® operational plan including product optimisation and logistics, Profit and Loss for the business and Development and management of the team.
  • Development and presentation of the CleanTreat® strategy to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and develop future plans for the technical development, operational priorities and the Strategic plan for CleanTreat® including CAPEX and OPEX requirements, and attain required approvals
  • Represent CleanTreat® on the Animal Health board
  • Working closely with Benchmark’s marketing function to deliver appropriate materials to promote and build awareness internally and externally for the CleanTreat® brand
  • Manage and report on all aspects of the CleanTreat® budget(s)
  • In conjunction with the CleanTreat® Operations Manager, develop appropriate rotas and other working methods to ensure the efficiency and cost effectiveness of the CleanTreat® operations
  • Responsible for overseeing current and future patents relating to CleanTreat®
  • Ensure the continuing development of the CleanTreat®team

Qualifications and experience

  • Business Unit management with P&L responsibility is essential
  • Team management and development is essential
  • Experience in water purification, treatment or handling systems would be an advantage
  • Experience of aquaculture an advantage
  • Formal training/education in water quality or engineering an advantage
  • A scientific degree, e.g. life sciences, biology or veterinary, is essential
