UK Aquaculture Conference Set To Be Best Yet
This year’s Aquaculture UK conference — part of Benchmark’s Technical Publishing Division — is to be held on 25-26 May 2016 in Aviemore, Scotland.
The first year under Benchmark’s ownership is set to be bigger and better than ever with over 130 exhibitors from around the world showcasing the latest in aquaculture health and innovation. The event provides direct access to qualified buyers and suppliers from around the globe representing all aspects of the aquaculture industry.
Speaking ahead of the event, James Banfield, Director of Benchmark Technical Publishing, commented:
“Now in its 10th year, Aquaculture UK is the most important aquaculture exhibition and conference held in the UK attracting over 1,000 industry professionals. It offers exhibitors a valuable opportunity to launch new products, meet decision makers and promote their products and services. Each time it is held it gets bigger and more valuable to the industry.”
We are looking forward to showcasing Benchmark’s multifaceted approach to advancing health and sustainability in aquaculture. Our work covers every stage of production from breeding and genetics, research, diagnostics & aquaculture health services through to the manufacture and supply of health products, education and training, and industry news and analysis.
Knowledge sharing is at the heart of this year’s event with two-days of seminars and open panel discussions, covering current and emerging challenges, running parallel to the tradeshow. Companies from across Benchmark will have a strong presence, chairing and presenting sessions alongside other prominent names including AquaGen, MSD Animal Health, Stirling University, Moredun Institute, St Andrews University and many more.
“The focus is on making sure the discussions reflect the most important issues relevant to this year’s visitors,” said Matt Colvan, Director at 5m, Benchmark’s specialist print and online publishing company. “We look forward to welcoming and learning from everyone from industry influencers to leading academics, hands-on researchers, government agencies and international journalists.” The conference is now fully subscribed but TheFishSite.com is producing a special edition of its ‘Sustainable Aquaculture Magazine’ which will feature an in-depth guide to the show, articles on the latest research and innovations, and features from the leading show sponsors and exhibitors.
